The Friends are happy to announce we have received a $10,000 grant award from the Promontory Foundation. During a grants celebration on August 30, we joined 30 of our fellow nonprofit community at the Promontory Club.
The Friends of the Children’s Justice Center is a non-profit organization that advocates for children experiencing sexual, physical, and emotional abuse within the Summit County community. In addition to providing education and resources for the prevention and reporting of child abuse, The Friends of the CJC maintains the CJC House, a resource where victims and their families can meet with a team of Summit County Children’s Justice Center professionals during the investigation and interview process as an invaluable first step on the road to recovery.
The Promontory grant award is invaluable in helping us with this advocacy and we are most appreciative to this community partner. Now in its 17th year, the Promontory Foundation is a charitable organization whose mission is to support local nonprofits with a particular focus on arts, culture, and social services.
